Founder & Artistic Director

Christina Kennedy has been directing choirs for over twenty years and holds a Master’s Degree in performance and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in choral conducting. She has worked with choirs of all ages, including elementary school choirs, middle school treble choirs, and high school women’s choirs, as well as community SATB choirs and an intergenerational chorus with singers from toddlerhood through grandparenthood.
Distinct and beloved memories from Christina’s life revolve around music and musicians. Singing the descant in her church’s children choir at age seven, having conversation and cookies with her school music teacher before piano lessons, singing in cathedrals in Europe as a young person, creating harmony in a vocal quartet with a newborn in a sling or a toddler on her hip, feeling spellbound by the intricacies of great works of music, and diving deep to research and select music for her singers: these are just a few of the moments that inspire her in her continuing journey as a musician. Working with excellent teachers and colleagues throughout her life has taught her that music is far more than producing sound from notes on a page — that, among many other attributes, it is a way to connect with the past, with her own community, and with others around the world.
